COLAIANNI, Alessandra Photograph Alessandra Colaianni is a member of the undergraduate class of 2007 at Duke University, where she is double-majoring in Biology and Philosophy. While at Duke, she has worked as a research assistant to Dr. Robert Cook-Deegan, director of the Center for Genome Ethics, Law, and Policy, which is a part of the Institute for Genome Sciences and Policy at Duke. Her research there has focused mainly on compiling histories of the Cohen-Boyer patents, which she has written about with Dr. Maryann Feldman, and the Axel patents. After she graduates in May, she will continue to work with Dr. Cook-Deegan for a year while applying to law school.
